In August of 1999 we made our second attempt to travel to Manaus, the first trip was scrubbed by a bad storm and we had to wait a year to reschedule. We traveled up the Rio Negro from Manaus and then spent a couple of days on the Amazon. The boats were gaiola a typical small covered boat. My notes say most of these pictures were taken by Carol.
